The feast day of St Vincent de Paul is 27th September. The Society is a Christian voluntary organisation, working with poor and disadvantaged people. The Society is involved in a diverse range of activities characterised by:
Support and friendship
Promoting self sufficiency
Working for social justice
People who come to the Society of St Vincent de Paul in need, be it financial, practical, or emotional, can be assured of help.
The St Brigid's Conference of the St Vincent de Paul are making a special appeal at all Masses this weekend for new members to join them.
We need new members to come and help with the work that we do and expand to the growing needs of our Community. We meet two nights a month on the First Tuesday and Third Tuesday at 8pm in the Parish Centre. If you feel you could offer a skill or service or would like to get involved with the society, please contact us at 085-7454858 and leave a message or with Fr Paul at 045-868224 and we will get in touch with you.
The Society of St Vincent de Paul has been meeting in Clane for many years now and the conference has been active in many of the areas of work which its' founder was associated with.
