Our community is centred around the village of Clane in Co Kildare, and the townland of Rathcoffey. The parish has grown very rapidly over the past few years, to its present size of over 7000 people. There has been a significant growth in both Clane and Rathcoffey as many people have decided to make their home here.
Our Parish Priest, Fr Denis Harrington, has been part of this community for almost ten years, and our curate, Fr Paul O'Boyle joined us in August 2004. Patricia O'Neill has been employed as Pastoral Co-ordinator since October 2001.
This is a lively parish, with many people involved in various ministries; there are active groups in Family Ministry, Youth Ministry, Social Activities, Communications, Liturgy, Welcome Ministry, Outreach and pilgrimage to name a few. We have many caring organisations in the parish, working with those who have a disability, are suffering from an illness, who have been bereaved, or who need our support in many other ways.
Some of our families have made this place their home for generations, others have just arrived recently, but for all, we are happy to say, Clane is a good place to live!
